From the impeccable shading, to the amazing details, this picture is truly lovely. The small beauty marks and creative hair style give the girl with the guitar individuality and character. The expressions, awake and sleeping, seem as if they are alive, the same goes for their almost-moving poses.
The small things, like the poster of the tree to the plug in the wall make the room feel lived in by these three. The grains in the wood, the pattern of the bed sheets, the small light on the (laptop?) is what makes this piece pop and thrive, truly fun to look at.
While the only minor flaws of this pic is the angle of the brunette's left leg (looks as if it would be a bit painful to sit like that) it is one of the best pictures I have had the pleasure of coming across here on DA.
This is so amazing... Everytime I come across it in my favourites, I just have to click on it and enlarge it. The lighting sets the mood almost perfectly, and everything, every single line, looks so clean and 'correct' for lack of better words. I have an awful time with straight edge objects, such as shelves or beds. I like to draw humans and animals, so when I see an artist who can accomplish BOTH amazingly, I'm immediately in awe, cause I can't do it to save my life haha.
Like what the above critique'r' said, I feel the left leg of the girl on the bed looks a little strange, although I admit, my legs and feet can twist that way w/o feeling uncomfortable or weird. Maybe it's just me, but I feel the angle of her leg, compared to the angle of the bed looks a little strange. But it's better than what I could accomplish from that kind of a pose LOL.
Also, another thing that wasn't mentioned, the girl sitting across from the girl on the bed, in the green, I'm really anal about pockets haha. I feel like the pockets look a little too small, making her behind look abnormally large compared to her thighs. I think the tiny pockets just give it that illusion, but that's just me LOL.
I really like how expressive the eyes are. The whites of their eyes look almost a little too shaded, to the point of where they don't look that white anymore. Maybe adding a little bit of a glare on the whites of their eyes too might make the eyes not look so flat. They're very clean and prominent though, something a have a hard time with.
kudos to you, seriously! This piece is ABSOLUTELY amazing I wish I could fav it 500 times over!
